Belliq monitors receptionless hotels on Mews and alerts the on-call operator when something goes wrong.

When a card payment fails, Belliq tries to fix it by sending the guest a payment link. If that does not work, the on-call operator gets one text with the guest, the room and what has already been tried. During the pilot we also connect your lock system, so a door code that does not arrive gets resent.

2–4 weeks free on one property. No setup fee, no lock-in.

What Belliq is

What it is

A service that connects to the hotel's Mews account. You install nothing, and guests need no app.

What it does

Reads events from Mews in real time, spots failures, tries the usual fix and texts the on-call operator with a link to the case.

What it solves

A hotel without a reception needs someone watching all night. Most of the time nothing happens, but when something does it has to be handled fast. Belliq does the waiting, so the on-call operator is only needed when there is actually something to do.

Why Belliq

Instead of a person watching

Belliq stays awake all night for NOK 999 to 2 199 a month. The on-call operator is only woken when there is something a human has to do.

Instead of Mews on its own

Mews Automations currently reacts to a new reservation, check-in and a new guest (Mews, June 2026), not to a payment that fails. Belliq is built to react to failures.

Answers tailored to the hotel and its areain development

Belliq keeps a separate knowledge base for each hotel, with the hotel's routines and information about the area: parking, restaurants, public transport, opening hours and check-in. Replies to guests are built on it instead of on general information.

Everything from the phonepartly ready

The on-call operator gets the alert, sees the case and can reply from the phone, and later from a watch, without logging in to Mews on a computer. Today the operator gets a text with a link to the case.

Made for small Norwegian hotels

Norwegian language, a fixed monthly price, no setup fee and a free pilot where Belliq only observes before it is allowed to act.

What Belliq catches

Belliq monitors three kinds of failure. For each one Belliq first tries the usual fix. The status on the right shows what works today and what is coming.

Check-in

The key never arrives

The digital code doesn't reach the guest, or the lock rejects it.

Belliq resends the code and escalates to the on-call operator after three failed attempts.

Payment

The card is declined

The card is declined at check-in or on an automatic charge, and nobody at the hotel notices until morning.

Belliq picks up the failure from Mews and alerts with guest, room and amount in one place.

Messages

The guest is waiting for an answer

“Where do I park?” at 23:26, and nobody is on shift.

Belliq will answer with information about the hotel and its area, and pass complaints, safety issues and unclear questions to the on-call operator's phone. This feature is in development.

What a night looks like

The timeline shows an example night. Three of four events were resolved without contacting anyone. The fourth needed a person, and the on-call operator got one text with the guest, the room and what had already been tried.

  1. Key not delivered to room 312. New code sent, guest inside at 23:04.

  2. Payment declined for room 118. Payment link sent to the guest.

  3. Payment completed for room 118. The guest used the link, the case closes.

  4. Text to on-call: room 207 locked out after three rejected codes. The link opens the case on the phone.

The pilot starts in shadow mode

For the first weeks Belliq does not act on its own. It logs what it would have done, so you can compare it with what the on-call operator actually did before you switch the automation on.

Would have resent the door code for room 312On-call did the same at 23:09
Would have sent a payment link to room 118Not handled until morning
Would have texted on-call about room 207The guest called in at 23:52

How Belliq connects to Mews

Belliq receives events from Mews in real time and fetches the reservation, guest and room directly from Mews. Key monitoring also needs a connection to the hotel's lock system, which we set up during the pilot. Other PMS systems are not supported today.
